Wow!  Thanksgiving is here already.  Time sure flies when you’re having fun!  You know the holidays can be dangerous for those of us watching our weight.  That’s what’s so great about The 100 Calorie Diet!  You can eat anything you want and still lose weight over the holidays! 

Today I have some great 100 calorie recipes for Thanksgiving from The 100 Calorie Cookbook.  Susie says, "Check it out!"

“Garden Fresh” Green Beans and New Potatoes
2 oz. Salt Pork, Sliced – 400
8 Small New Potatoes, Scraped - 400
2 lbs. Fresh Green Beans – FREE
Salt and Pepper To Taste - FREE


1. Wash green beans and cut off ends.

2. In a large pot, cook salt pork over medium heat, turning often, until brown, about 5 minutes.

3.  Add potatoes, green beans, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until beans are tender.


Makes Eight 100 Calorie Servings.

Cheesy Breezy Broccoli and Rice Casserole
2 Bunches of Broccoli, Chopped - FREE
1 Cup Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup - 200
2 Cups Cooked White Rice - 400
6 oz. Cheddar Cheese, Shredded - 600
Salt, Pepper and Garlic Powder To Taste – FREE


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Place broccoli in a large pot, cover with water and add salt. Bring to boil, cover and cook for about 15 minutes or until broccoli is tender.


3. Drain and place in a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients and toss lightly. Place in a
casserole dish and cook for 25-30 minutes.


Makes Six 200 Calorie Servings.
