100 Calorie Diet Tip #56 - Write Down Your Motivational Plan

Posted by The 100 Calorie Girls

One of the hardest things to do when on a diet plan is to stay motivated.  You might do really good the first few days or even the first few weeks.  But then it gets harder.  Your motivation starts slipping.  If you’re not careful and diligent it will be completely gone.  In order to be successful you have to keep reminding yourself of why you want to lose weight.  This tip works well for me.  First thing in the morning, before I have breakfast, I get out one of my 3 x 5 index cards.  They even have cute purple ones now. :)  I think really hard about my day ahead and I write down my tricks for getting through the day.  I remind myself to think about today only.  I remind myself not to snack on things I haven’t planned on.  I remind myself to drink my water.  I remind myself of why I want to lose weight.  Then I either stick it on the frig or I take it with me and put it in my car so I can see it.  Then throughout the day I read to help keep me motivated.

Here is something Zig Zigler says that is very cute and very true!!

"People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well neither does bathing–that’s why we recommend it daily" Zig Zigler
