Dieting confidence is not something you may automatically have. It may be something you will need to develop. It is something that can get stronger the more you do some thing you thought you could not do before. For example… I spent months thinking I could diet very good Monday thru Friday, but when it came to the weekend I thought I just could not stick to my plan. Therefore I DID NOT STICK to my plan. But then one weekend I decided I was going to stick to my plan the whole weekend without fail. And guess what? I did! I made it the whole weekend without going off my plan. What did that do for me? It gave me CONFIDENCE! It made me see that YES I could be "good" for the whole weekend. It made me see that it really was not as hard as I thought it was going to be. I just "thought" it was going to be too hard. You know what else it did? It helped me to be "good" the next weekend and so on. What I learned is the more you do these "things" you think you can’t do the more confidence you build that you CAN do these things. Try it. Find one thing that you thought you could not do or one thing you think you cannot give up. Then do that thing or give up that thing for say 2 days. See how much confidence you will have after the two days. I’m telling you it works. You can build your dieting confidence and then you can reach your goal.
