100 Calorie Diet Tip #95 - Find A New Reward System

Most of the time overweight people use food as a reward.  We use it to make us happy after a very happy event.  We use it to when we are feeling proud about something.  We use it when we win something.  It seems we always use food to reward ourselves.  As an overweight person we must find new ways to reward ourselves for that job well done.  Sit down and make a list of things you would or could like to do instead of eating as your reward.  Maybe you’d like a new pair of shoes or a new purse.  Maybe you’d like to go see that museum or that comedy club.  Make a good list of your alternative rewards.  Keep it handy and instead of a food reward next time do one of the things on your list.
