Diet Tip #37 - Emotional Eating…The Mighty Pen Is Like A Sword!!!

Journaling has shown to be a remarkable tool to help emotional eaters. Emotional eaters are those people who eat for reasons other than hunger. I think most overweight people are emotional eaters. We eat because we are sad or angry. Maybe we are lonely or depressed or bored. How many times have you gone to the frig just to poke around for something good to eat? Not because your stomach was telling you you were hungry…If you are like me, many many many times. Take pen in hand and write your way out of the refrigerator. Write down what is bothering you. Get it out!!! Put it to paper. Don’t be afraid to write…write it ALL!!! If you do this instead of heading for the kitchen it will at least put up a road block to the kitchen. Try it and see if it helps. You may be SURPRISED!!!
