Myth:
A NO FAT diet is good for you.
Fact:
Some people think that the best way to lose weight is to cut out ALL their fat. This is NOT true. Your body needs fat for tissue repair and the transportation of important vitamins like A, D, E and K. It is also needed for energy. Having less saturated fat and more unsaturated fats is the best way to go… but never cut out all your fats.
Here are a few types of fats that are good for you:
•Avocado
•Canola oil
•Nuts like almonds, cashews, pecans, and peanuts
•Olive oil and olives
•Peanut butter and peanut oil
•Sesame seeds
•Corn oil
•Cottonseed oil
•Safflower oil
•Soybean oil
•Sunflower oil
•Walnuts
•Pumpkin or sunflower seeds

This Myth is a very strong one with over weight people. Here it is: I was born to be fat and therefore I will always be fat.
WRONG! Maybe you are fat and maybe your whole family is fat, but that does not mean that YOU must REMAIN fat. You do have the power within you to control what you eat and you have the power within you to lose the weight and keep it off. Will it be easy? Most likely not… but once you make up your mind it does get easier… The mind has the power to get it done.

Webster’s Dictionary says:

Pronunciation: \di-?t?r-m?-?n?-sh?n\
Function: noun
Date: 14th century
1 a: firm or fixed intention to achieve a desired end <a woman of great courage and determination>
So ask yourself how much DETERMINATION do you have. Do you have enough to get the job done?
