Do you know how many yo-yo dieters their are in the world? Millions! (Just my guess but I bet I’m close!) You will never be thin if you don’t jump right off that roller coaster and never get on it again. Here’s the scenario…You need to lose weight. You are too impatient to pick a reasonable and normal way of eating. So you find some super quick diet plan to go on. You start the plan. You have loads of motivation…but you find that eating this way or not eating at all is just too hard. You do it for a few weeks or maybe a month. You lose 30 pounds! Great! But…you can’t stick with eating this way so you blow it and then you give up and then you just eat anything and everything and gain back more weight than you lost. Sound familiar? I bet it does. The only way to lose weight and keep the weight off is to find a normal sensible diet and make this your new way of eating. Forever!!! Your not really on a diet your on a new life plan. This way you are eating normal foods and you are learning how to eat for the rest of your life. JUMP!!!

A lot of overweight people don’t eat breakfast and then don’t eat lunch, but go home in the evening and eat a hole bunch of calories in one sitting because they are so ravenous to eat. They may even end up eating two or three days worth of calories at this one meal!!! They have starved all day long and now they are totally out of control. Any thought of being on some sort of eating plan has gone wayyyyy out the window and all they can think about is getting more food in their mouth. Sound familiar??? Is this working for you? No…it is not. So calm down, take a deep breath and make a pledge to yourself to never do this again. Make a normal realistic eating plan for your day. Plan your breakfast, plan your lunch and plan your dinner. You can do it… Yes you can!

So much of our everyday eating is just out of habit. We grab a little of this or a little of that and pop it into our mouths. We snack on something while standing and looking into the frig. We nibble along the way while cooking dinner. We drink this or that on the way to work or on the way home from work. All these calories add up and you won’t even know how many you had. So here is your new rule. You will not eat or drink anything unless you have put it on a plate and sat down to think about what you are eating and to enjoy what you are eating. No more floating around kind of calories. Done!
