Yang! Yang! Yang! How is everybody out there in blogosphere land? Great, I hope! I have some good news for you today (and, no it’s not about car insurance; I kinda miss those commercials, don’t you?). Anyway, I’ve been cookin’ up a storm and have more 100 calorie recipes and low calorie recipes. Guaranteed delicious and nutritious. Enjoy!
Sausage and Tomatoes
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil - 100 Calories
1 Onion, Chopped - FREE
2 Garlic Cloves, Minced - FREE
11 1/2 oz. Kielbasa Sausage, Sliced In 2" Pieces - 700 Calories
1 Large Can of Diced Tomatoes - FREE
Salt and Pepper To Taste - FREE
1. In a large skillet, heat oil on medium high.
2. Add onion and garlic and saute for about 5 minutes or until onions are translucent.
3. Add sausage and cook until they are brown.
4. Add remaining ingredients.
5. Simmer on medium low for 30-35 minutes.
Makes Four 200 Calorie Servings.
YUM! If you like sausage, you just gotta try this recipe! It’s one of my favorite comfort foods. Serve it over a cup of cooked rice (200 calories) for a delightful 400 calorie meal!
Strawberry and Banana Delight
2 Cups Fresh Strawberries - 100 Calories
1 Medium Banana - 100 Calories
1 Cup Cool Whip - 200 Calories
1. Mix strawberries and bananas together in a small bowl.
2. Place into two dessert bowls.
3. Top with Cool Whip
