Success Tool #6 – Find Pleasure in Exercise
Finding pleasure in exercise is such an important success tool. Of course you can make yourself exercise, but that won’t last for any length of time. If you dread your exercise routine, you won’t stick with it. You may ask “How do I find pleasure in exercise?” Think back throughout your life and try to remember some activities you enjoyed that involved exercise. Was there a time you loved to dance or play a sport? Maybe you enjoyed swimming, boating or hiking. Once you decide on an activity, take action! Here are some ideas:
v Join a mall walking group.
v Participate in team sports.
v Take dance classes.
v Walk and play with your dog.
v Play games with your children.
v Mix up your exercise program and mix up your exercise partners.
v Join a gym with a friend or better yet a group of friends.
v Join the YMCA.
v Plan a hiking trip.
v Plan to do a different exercise everyday.
